These second half collapses are becoming far too common. Is teh hotness getting out-coached here? It seems that other teams are making adjustments at the half and we keep pounding our head against the wall. To continue the analogy, Macgruber might be funny once or twice...but by the 6th or 7th appearance in a single week, that horse is officially dead.
Also, can someone get a memo to our guards to let them know that it's a REALLY BAD IDEA to pick up the dribble in the corner just past half court? Kind of like saying "Normally I wear protection, but then I thought, 'When am I gonna make it back to Haiti?'" We really struggle against any kind of press, and that half court trap absolutely destroyed us.

well said....the crazy thing is you can watch Klay come at that trap, and he sees it coming in slow motion, yet he drives right into it, gets stopped, and tries to chuck it clear across the court to taylor.
i know it seems retarded to compare high school to college, but we ran press breakers in practice everyday, even though only 2-3 teams in our league ran an effective press. how can we still be this bad at beating a press? the day after the gonzaga game, that's all tony should've done. 2 hours of beating the press, then 9 hours of suicides.
What gets me is that half the time we run with such a small lineup , 4 of the 5 guys on the court should be halfway decent ballhandlers...yet we continue to get raped by even a mediocre trap.
I would love to blame it on the frosh, but TR has been sucked into the corner of no return on more than one occasion. He should know better damn it. I mean Rafferty called him "crafty" about a dozen times during that game...and if Rafferty says it, you know it must be true.
Speaking of CBS coverage, why are they wasting Gus Johnson in the studio?
